Confetti

CONFETTI

SOME SAY IT SNOWED ON THE DAY OF HIS FUNERAL

RATHER I SAY

IT WAS A JUBILANT GOD THROWING CONFETTI

REJOICING IN THE RETURN OF ONE OF HIS OWN

SCATTERING THE DANCING SNOW

WHIRLING IT IN THE WIND

COVERING ALL

FORGIVING ALL

WELCOMING ALL

ESPECIALLY HIM

FOR WHOM THE FIELD ON LOOKING BACK

HAS NO FOOTMARKS TO MARK HIS FAILINGS

ONLY A FIELD REMADE BY GRACE

AND THE WIND WAS A LAUGHING GOD

TELLING OF ANOTHER SAVED
